there were no digital effects used in that shot. they actually had David Bowie hanging upsidedown on this rig system with his boot glued to the brick. then they just flipped him around and were like, ok David, don’t die.
So basically, Jennifer Connelly didn’t even actually have to work for that expression, she’s just going “OMG HE ACTUALLY DIDN’T BREAK HIS NECK!”
actually there was nothing whatsoever used in this scene, that’s just how bowie walks
David Bowie out of fucking nowhere

Saw Lou Reed last night at the Meltdown Festival in the Southbank Centre down on the Embankment in London. First of all, let me interject by saying how much I realise I miss London every time I’ve been away from it. There’s something so comforting about the place, the crowds settle my unease and…
My inept review of Lou Reed’s concert.
Patti Smith. Amazing gig in Glasgow last night, she’s still got it.
This was the gig I attended in early September. And the woman was electric. On fire. Beyond anything I could have imagined.
Patti, you are a force of nature.
Oh YouTuber, you’ve made my day so much better. Full video of Lou and John.
Hard at work at the controls; Maria Drummond.
Yarp, just updated them now!

Hello BlahBlah-ers of the Tumblr world! How are we all today?
It’s been a long summer of beige notes. But the rocking will return, ETA next week some time.
Now, here is what has been happening while we’ve been away:
Our schedule and shows are getting a bit of a polish, making them all slick and shiny for you guys out there, with new shows (some of which include your favourite people…!)
Our crack team of tech monkeys are looking at apps, so you can listen on the move and feel the groove.
For those of you local we’re looking at attending live events and getting more of a presence in the Dundee area, so you can come up and say “HI!” And if you’re not local, or indeed very far away; we are looking into Skype calls for the geographically challenged among us. We want you involved!
Theories are being discussed on the idea of video streaming; do you guys really want to see our ugly faces on the internet? …Don’t answer that. In addition we are continuing our efforts to get a podcast rolling alongside our usual mayhem; for those who want more than just an hour a week of madness.
Wings For Wheels (Thunder Road) - Bruce Springsteen
This was one of the very first performances of this song in 1975, from the album Live at Main Point.
